Colombo Under19 will lock horns with the Kandy Under19 in order to select the touring squad for next month Asia Rugby Under19 Division 1 tournament which will take place in China during 11 to 14 December.
Colombo outfit is coached by Viper (Jr.) Gunaratne while the Kandy outfit is looked after by Ananda Kasturiarachchi. There will be only one leg this time around at the event and is likely to take place at the Racecourse rugby ground. Former Antonian, Kandy SC player and former Antonian, Isipathana, Army SC and current CH & FC coach, Viper Gunaratne (Jr.) is tipped to be appointed as the Head Coach on the China tour.
Hosts, China, Thailand, Philippines and Sri Lanka will lock horns in this league format event. The winner of this event will get promoted to the Top division in Asia Under 19 rugby during the 2020 season.
