Asia Rugby (AR) has cancelled its first half match schedules up until 30 June. Further, their June council meeting which was to take place in Kyrgyzstan’s capital city of Bishkek was also postponed due to the current health situation around the world.
In continuous efforts to set the welfare, health and well-being of players, fans, officials and administrators at the forefront, Asia Rugby has taken measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and has subsequently decided to cancel the mid-year Executive Committee and Council meetings.
Asia Rugby has also decided to cancel all competitions scheduled to be held during the period 1 Feb - 30 June 2020. Subsequently, Asia Rugby will continue monitoring the global health situation in close collaboration with World Rugby and will send an official update to all member unions on 30 April 2020 concerning the possibilities of retaining or cancelling the competitions scheduled for the period 1 July - 31 December 2020.
