Asia Rugby recognises Dilroy

Dilroy Fernando has received a special award in recognition for his outstanding contribution as a referee and for his services towards the development of match officials in Asia. 

The presentation was made in Dubai during the Asia Rugby Awards night held recently. 

Dilroy was presented with a plaque and a specially made gold-plated whistle.

Currently, a World Rugby (WR) trainer, Dilroy was formerly an international referee, Secretary of the Advisory Committee for the Development of Rugby appointed by the Minister of Sports, and Chairman of the Referee Training and Development of the Sri Lanka Referees Society. (SJ)
