Asian Rugby Sevens 2017: Dhanjaya and Kavindu give way to Ranjan and Chandimal

Dhanushka Ranjan, one of the most feared Asian Rugby Sevens players, returns to the Asian Sevens  second leg touring squad in South Korea after missing out on the initial one due to an injury. 

Chanaka Chandimal who also missed out on the first leg will make join the tour next week. Both injured players Kavindu Perera and Samith Dhanjaya were left out by the national selectors.

The second leg will take place at the Namdong Rugby Stadium, Seoul, South Korea on 23 and 24 September. Sri Lanka were placed 5th in the first leg in Hong Kong two weeks ago, and will be looking for a semi-final berth to improve on their ranking. The two top outfits’ end of the third leg on aggregate will book their berth for the Sevens Rugby World Cup 2018 in San Francisco.
