Aslam to defend title at Donald Steel Golf Trophy 2021

Young 17-year-old Trinity College school boy Haroon Aslam will defend his title at the famous Donald Steel Golf Trophy 2021 which will be worked off at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort (VGCR) on 24 April. This year’s event will be the 23rd in tandem. Tee off is scheduled at 7 a.m.

This event has been won in tandem for three years by Ian Tait (2009 to 2011), former Sri Lankan test cricketer Sidath Wettimuny (2008, 2012 and 2016) and Martin G. Ebert (2001, 2003 and 2004)

This year too there will be more than 90 golfers teeing off for honours at this Blue Ribbon event of the golf calendar in the country. 

The awards ceremony and dinner will be hosted by the VCGR team headed by General Manager Asela Wavita.
