Athapaththu and Madushanka shortlisted for ICC 2023 awards

Sri Lanka women’s team captain Chamari Athapaththu and Sri Lanka men’s fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka have been shortlisted in the ICC 2023 awards.

Athapaththu has been shortlisted for the ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award with Sophie Ecclestone (England), Hayley Matthews (West Indies) and Ellyse Perry (Australia).

Madushanka who had a splendid Cricket World Cup is shortlisted for the ICC Emerging Men’s Cricketer of the Year with Gerald Coetzee (South Africa), Yashasvi Jaiswal (India) and Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand).

Winners of the ICC Awards 2023 will be announced later in January 2024.
