Athapaththu leads 15-member team for Women’s T20 Asia Cup

Chamari Athapaththu will lead a 15-member Sri Lanka team for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup which commences at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium on 19 July.

Eight teams are participating in this 10-day event that will conclude with the final on 28 July.

Sri Lanka are in Group B with Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand. They play their first match on Saturday against Bangladesh.

The squad: Chamari Athapaththu (Captain), Vishmi Gunaratne, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Hasini Perera, Kavisha Dilhari, Nilakshi de Silva, Anushka Sanjeewani, Sugandika Kumari, Udeshika Prabodhani, Achini Kulasuriya, Inoshi Priyadharshani, Kawya Kavindi, Sachini Nisansala, Shashini Gimhani, Ama Kanchana.
