Auditor General visits SLC to expedite forensic audit

Further to the discussions held between the SLC’s newly-elected Executive Committee and Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe, SLC yesterday welcomed Wijesinghe at the SLC Headquarters.

Wijesinghe met with SLC Chief Operating Officer Jerome Jayaratne who held positive discussions with the Auditor General.

During discussions, Jayaratne informed the Auditor General that the SLC Executive Committee at its meeting held on 25 February, directed the senior management of the SLC to extend their fullest cooperation and assistance in conducting of the Forensic Audit of the SLC accounts into the period of 2016-2018, a move initiated by the Minister of Telecommunications, Foreign Employment and Sport, Harin Fernando.
