Two top players from the Sri Lanka Under-19 outfit, skipper Naveen Heenakankanmge and Gemunu Cheethiya, will both be out of the second leg of the Asian Rugby Championship Division I against Hong Kong this weekend.
Former Thomian skipper and Sri Lanka senior Sevens player Heenakankanmge and St. Joseph’s College player Gemunu Cheethiya both suffered injuries during the initial leg against Hong Kong last weekend.
Their places were taken over by Dulanjana of Dharmaraja College and Jansen of Kingswood College.
Star Trinity player Aveesha Priyankara will lead the outfit against Hong Kong on 16 December at the Hong Kong Football Club.
The young Lankans will face an uphill battle in overtaking the Hong Kong side which defeated them 37-8 in the first leg.
