Left-arm spinner Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby took six wickets for 29 to bowl Bangladesh to a six-wicket win over Afghanistan in the final of the Tri-Nations Under-19 cricket tournament in Abu Dhabi.
Mahfuzur’s destructive spell saw the strong Afghanistan batting humbled for 143 in 37 overs with Haroon Khan being the only batsman to make any sort of contribution scoring a well struck 65 off 62 balls (7 fours).
Bangladesh had no difficulty in reaching the target of 144 in 23 overs losing four wickets to crown themselves champions. Sri Lanka were the third team in the competition.
