NH Bentota Ceysands Resort and Araliya Resorts and Spas triumphed as the new champions at the 43rd Travel Trade Sports Men’s and Women’s Softball Cricket “Sixes” 2024, sponsored for the 19th time by Aitken Spence Travels, which concluded on 6 October at the Shalika Grounds.
In the Men’s tournament, featuring 69 teams, NH Bentota Ceysands Resort defeated Wild Coast Tented Lodge, Yala by 18 runs in the final. Meanwhile, in the Women’s tournament, with 18 teams competing, Araliya Resorts and Spas claimed victory over Acorn Group “A” by 5 wickets in the final.
In the play-off for third place in the Men’s tournament, Cinnamon Bay, Beruwala, overcame Cinnamon Wild, Yala, while in the Women’s tournament, Connaissance de Ceylan secured third place by defeating Sofia Colombo.
