Bhanuka Rajapaksa and skipper Janith Liyanage slammed rapid fifties to give SLC Greens a 99-run win over SLC Yellow in a SLC T20 World Cup preparation match played at the R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Rajapaksa displayed his T20 panache slamming 13 fours and four sixes in a 36-ball display of power hitting for 88.

Liyanage who helped Rajapaksa in a stand of 77 off 32 balls was equally aggressive hammering the Yellow bowlers to the tune of five fours and four sixes in scoring 70 off 35 balls.

Their assault on the bowling saw Greens rattle up an impressive 252-5 with Ramesh Mendis providing the final flourish to the innings with a cameo knock of 35* off 15 balls inclusive of four sixes.

Yellows batting collapsed for 153 to the spin of Tharindu Ratnayake who finished with impressive figures of 4/25.

SLC Yellow and SLC Red meet in another practice match on 8 May at the same venue.
