Bhutan team arrives for South Asia Under-17 football championship

The Bhutan under-17 Football team was first to arrive in the Island to participate in the South Asian Football Federation -SAFF – Under-17 Football Championship 2022, to be staged in Colombo commencing later this week.

With an initiative made by Football Sri Lanka (FSL) President Jaswar Umar, Sri Lanka got the nod to host this tournament in Colombo. Six teams including host Sri Lanka, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives and Bangladesh will be fray for honours. 

All matches are scheduled to be played at the picturesque Race Course Stadium and two matches will kick off each day from 3.30 p.m. onwards. The tournament will be inaugurated on 5 September and the grand finale is scheduled to be held on 14 September at the same venue.
