Sri Lanka’s prime white ball fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera who hurt himself during practice is returning home from Zimbabwe and will miss Sri Lanka’s Super Sixes matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

Chameera is still recovering from a right pectoral muscle injury he sustained on the right shoulder while practising ahead of Sri Lanka’s first game of the group stage of the qualifiers. Accordingly, the bowler will not be available for selections for the Super Six round games as well, states a media release from Sri Lanka Cricket.Chameera will return home and engage in a rehabilitation program at the High Performance Center at the R Premadasa Stadium.Dilshan Madushanka will replace Chameera in the squad.
