Bodyline, subsidiary of MAS Holdings, a global leader in producing high-performance sportswear, has announced its partnership with the Sri Lanka Athletics Association (SLAA), sponsoring cutting-edge apparel for Sri Lanka’s national athletics team ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
As part of this collaboration, Bodyline will be supplying specialised sportswear for all tours leading up to the Olympic Games.
The sportswear made by Bodyline integrate the latest technologies in performance apparel, developed through decades of expertise at MAS. The captivating designs incorporated into the clothing showcase the blue and gold colours representing Sri Lanka and is inspired by the ‘Gajasimha’, a powerful solar symbol merging the strength of the elephant and lion, symbolising innovation and resilience. The Sri Lankan junior athletic team proudly showcased the Gajasimha-inspired design as they competed at the 5th Asian Youth Athletics Championship.
This sponsorship underscores Bodyline’s commitment to the development and empowerment of young athletes. More recently, the national athletics team participating at the Asian Championships displayed exceptional performance, winning several awards, and setting several national records.
The Bodyline-SLAA collaboration represents a significant step forward in national athletics and Bodyline is eager to witness the continued growth and success of this partnership with the SLAA in the years to come. “We are immensely proud to be the official clothing sponsor for Sri Lanka Athletics at the Asian Championships,” said Bodyline Marketing and Business Development Director Dilshan Mohammed. “Supporting these talented athletes and witnessing their outstanding achievements brings us great joy and reaffirms our commitment to elevating sportswear innovation for athletes worldwide.”
In addition to the sponsorship, the ‘Runner to Runner’ collaboration by Bodyline, aims to enhance the running experience for all types of athletes and sports professionals. National-level athletes take part in a state-of-the-art biomechanics lab at Bodyline, where crucial data is collected to track movement and pain points.
The program’s main objective is to validate improved product solutions and integrate them seamlessly into Bodyline’s offering to global brands for performance and lifestyle runners. Feedback at the lab is professionally analysed, ensuring a consistent cycle of product improvement and innovation. Collaboration with customer innovation has resulted in elevated products that cater perfectly to consumer needs and open new market opportunities.
As a global leader in producing high-quality sportswear, Bodyline remains dedicated to providing cutting-edge technology and innovative products that enhance the athlete-experience.
