The Old Boys of Trinity College beat Old Boys of Royal College winning the coveted G.C. Wickramasinghe Trophy at the annual Bradby Golf 2021 event which took place at the beautiful and one of the best golf courses in South Asia at Victoria Golf and Country Resort (VGCR) in Rajawella last weekend.

The sixth edition featured 40 experienced players and also included old boys who flew in from overseas specially to take part in this popular board event at VGCR. The tally stands in favour of Trinity College 4/2 at present.

The Longest Drive in the 18th hole was won by former Trinity rugby skipper B.N.R. Fernando while technically correct, Tharanga Gunasekera won nearest to the PIN award on the seventh hole. Gamini Jayaweera (RC) and Surain Premathilake (TCK) were the stand-in skippers as both originally appointed captains Fazley Azhar (TCK) and Ananda Jayasekera (RC) were not available for this year’s event.

Trinity College Principal Fr. Araliya Jayasundera was the Chief Guest at the occasion.

Official host club Victoria Golf and Country Resort, Official Beverage Partner Coca Cola and official Golf Accessory Partner Pro Golf Ltd supported the mega annual event.

Former Trinity rugby skipper and Trinity Lion B.N.R. Fernando and Anel De Silva (RC) will lead the outfit at the next event.

  • Suren Premathileke and Bimal Fernando (TCK) beat Gihan Wickramasinghe and Lucky De Singhe (RC) – 2/1 
  • Mario De Silva and Hemanga Karunasena (TCK) beat Anura Lokuhetti and Glen Mathews RC) – 3/2
