National badminton player Sachin Dias, once again hit the limelight by winning 3 Silver Medals (Men’s Double, Mixed Double and the Team Event) at the 13th South Asian Games 2019, held in Kathmandu/Pokhara – Nepal.
Sachin’s Alma Mater is St. Sebastian’s College. As a young lad at school, his prowess was identified and was nurtured and built up over time. He blossomed as a valuable national player who has brought glory to Sri Lanka becoming the first ever Bronze medallist at the Youth Olympic Games held in China in 2014. Since then, he has continued to win medals both at foreign and local tournaments. His aspiration is to be a member of the Badminton squad for the Olympics.
Sachin is a beneficiary of the social and environmental value-based business philosophy practiced by AFC. His future career goals have been carefully mapped out through a strategic grooming program.
