Breetzke century put South Africa ‘A’ in strong position

Matthew Breetzke who led South Africa ‘A’ in the one-day series scored an unbeaten 112 off 177 balls (11 fours) to place South Africa ‘A’ in a strong position at the end of the first day of the 4-day unofficial test against Sri Lanka ‘A’ at Kimberley.

Breetzke shared a 108-run partnership for the third wicket with Marques Ackerman who scored 69 off 97 balls (10 fours) after opener Tshepang Dithole had made a sedate 52 off 130 balls (7 fours).

Right-arm seamer Eshan Malinga was the pick of the Lankan ‘A’ bowlers taking 2/49 off 16 overs.
