The British School in Colombo (BSC) pulled off a convincing 86-run win over Colombo International School (CIS) in their Inter-International Schools Under-17 Cricket Tournament match worked off at the Shalika Grounds in Narahenpita.
After piling up a formidable 230 for nine from their allotted 28 overs, BSC produced a fine performance on the field to restrict their opponents to 144 for nine in 28 overs.
Spinner Aaryan Amalean was the chief wrecker with excellent figures of four wickets for 20 while Thishan Kadawalaarachchi provided the back-up support claiming two for 41.
Earlier, BSC electing to bat first went on a scoring spree with Pradyun Saikia leading the way with a 44-ball 48 inclusive of three sixes and five boundaries.
Senuka Dharmakeerthi then consolidated their position by hitting a top score of 65 with the help of eight boundaries.
