CBL Samaposha U14 Inter-School Football Championship finals during first week of March

The CBL Samaposha U14 Inter-School Football Championship 2019 finals, scheduled from 31 January to 3 February and delayed due to unavoidable circumstances by the Sri Lanka Schools’ Football Association (SLSFA), is scheduled to be held during the first week of March. 

Organisers announced the new dates for the final round as 2-4 March at the Mahiyanganaya Pradeshiya Sabha Grounds, while the Championship Finals was scheduled for 11 March at the Racecourse Grounds in Colombo.

According to a notice issued by the SLSFA, they had previously slated the final round to be held in Colombo and Galle. However, as all schools were to complete their annual sports meet by 20 February, the final match dates had to be postponed as otherwise the students would not be able to participate in the Football Championship.  

While thanking all participants, and apologising for any inconvenience, the SLSFA said it was pleased to announce the new dates for the Football Championship finals.

Notably, this is the 11th consecutive year that CBL Samaposha has come forward to sponsor the Under-14 Inter-School competition.
