CDB athletes shine at Indian Masters Athletic Meet

Multiple medal winners at the 38th Masters Athletic Championship in Mangalore, India. CDB’s Customer Relations Senior Executive Nadeeka Perera and Credit Operations Senior Executive Dananja Krishantha Liyanage show off the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals they won at the Mangala Stadium while representing the Sri Lanka Masters Team

In an extraordinary feat, two members of the CDB Team, Dananja Krishantha Liyanage and Nadeeka Perera (members of the Sri Lanka Masters Team), won multiple medals in the 38th Masters Athletic Championship, India, held at the Mangala Stadium in Urwa Mangalore. Dananja was a member of the winning 4×100m men’s relay, while Nadeeka in the champion 4×400m women’s relay team, getting them Gold. Dananja also notched a Silver in the men’s long jump event, while Nadeeka gained Silvers in the 100m women’s hurdles and triple jump events. Nadeeka added another Bronze to her stack of wins with a Bronze in the 100m women’s event. The events were conducted on a synthetic track.

At CDB, Dananja is the Credit Operations Senior Executive while Nadeeka is the Customer Relations Senior Executive. In representing Sri Lanka, they have placed the country on the highly competitive track and field map of India, flying not only the Sri Lankan flag high, but also that of CDB.
