CDB bags three wins on rugby field

47th Mercantile Rugby Sevens

Multiple victories were heralded by CDB in the sporting arena when the CDB Finance Rugby Team emerged Champions in the Group B Shield Category and the Women’s Tag Rugby Category and came in Runners Up in the Group A Plate Category in the 47th Mercantile Rugby Football Sevens and the Inaugural Women’s Tag Rugby Tournament. 

Organised by the Mercantile Rugby Football Association at the Race Course Colombo recently, 50 teams participated in the tournament with 8 teams in the Group A Plate Category, 36 teams in the Group B Shield Category and six teams in the Women’s Tag Rugby Category.  

CDB’s constant quest to continue raising the bar in its winning stance is well evidenced with these three wins which add to its cricketing prowess at the MCA Open Sixes when CDB emerged champions.
