Senkadagala Motor Sports Club (SMSC), in conjunction with the Sri Lanka Motor Cycle Club, organised the CEAT Kothmale Speed Hill Climb will take place on 11 and 12 December in Kothmale. Already more than 250 entries were received with 100 for motorcycles and rest for motorcars.
CEAT Sri Lanka has come in as the main sponsor with Nippon Paint as the co-sponsor. Dasuni Learners and Wurth Lanka will be the other esteemed Institution to prop up with this major event.
SMSC Secretary Poorna Dahanayake speaking to Daily FT said: “We will be organising seven club events at the CEAT Kothmale Speed Hill Climb 2021. Our main intention of organising and introducing these events, especially for the youngsters, racing enthusiasts, and new-born drivers is to gain experience and learn in the motor racing industry.
Speaking further, he said: “Conducting and rewarding winners with trophies at the Hill Climb will drive them into the motor racing world and they will make their motor racing path into competition racing in the future.”
