CH scrum half Harsha Maduranga slings out a pass
CH & FC on Saturday remained at the 4th position with an unimpressive performance by beating Sri Lanka Air Force by only 14 points (2 tries, 2 conversions) to 10 points (1 penalty try, 1 penalty) at Race Course ground.
At the short breather 14/3.
Prasad Madushanka scored CH’s first try which was goaled by Hirusha Sampath. Gayantha Iddamalgoda put over a penalty for CH before the short breather, a try by Dinesh Lakshan and Hirusha Sampath added the extra 2 points to take a 14/3 lead.
After the turn around, Air Force grouped and played a better brand of rugby but CH held on to their lead after the 50th minute. But in the end Air Force was awarded with a penalty try. Visitors came so close but in the end missed out on a win but earned the losing bonus point.
Referee was Kelum Sandaruwan.
