CR and FC edged out Sri Lanka Navy SC 33/27 in a high scoring game which concluded at Longdon Place yesterday.

At the short breather CR led 12/8.

CR tries were scored by Ashan Darling, Musheen Doray, Thenuka Nanayakkara and Gemunu Chetiya. Chatura Seneviratne put over the three penalties while Thenuka Nanayakkara did the kick at goals.

For the Sailors their tries were scored by skipper Harsha Maduranga, Dinesh de Silva and Lahiru Herath. Thilina Weerasinghe converted and also put over 2 penalties.

Referee was Gihan Yatawara.

Kandy SC, CR and FC, Havelock will play in the Cup segment while Air Force will be at Welisara playing Navy expecting for fourth position end to secure their Cup berth in round 2.
