CR and FC continued their unbeaten run when they outclassed Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club by 57 points (9 tries, 6 conversions) to 6 points (2 penalties).

At the short breather Red Shirts led 12/6.

CR scored their tries through Randy Silva (2), Rinesh Silva (2), Randul Senanayake, Raveen de Silva, Iranga Ariyapala, Warnakulasuriya, Shehan Kelaniyagoda. Six of the tries, were converted by Manilka Ruberu and Thenuka Nanayakkara. 

Sailors opened scoring first through two penalties by Stevan Sansoni.

CR who received the bonus point, will play Havies before heading their way to Up Country to play the defending champions, Kandy SC in their last first round encounter on 21 January at the Nottawela Rugby Stadium. 

Referee was Hasantha Weranga.
