Central Finance and DFFC Bank face off for MCA ‘D’ Division Coca-Cola Beverages Trophy

Two teams packed with young guns, Central Finance vs. DFCC Bank, will meet in the final of the first Coca-Cola Beverages Trophy, MCA “D” division 40-over League Tournament 2019, on Saturday 23 February at the MCA Grounds, commencing at 10.00 am.

Central Finance’s path to the final: beat Delmege Group by 28 – runs on DLS method, beat Softlogic Finance by 125-runs, beat Bodyline by 90- runs, beat Hilton Colombo Residences by 65 runs, thus finished as Group “A” table leaders; in the elimination stage, they beat NDB Bank by 40-runs (QF) &beat Airport & Aviation by 01 wickets (SF)

Central Finance top performances were: their Captain, Vikum Costha (243 runs & 15 wickets) Nimesh Fernando (14 wickets) and Ravindu Dilshan (15 wickets) 

DFCC Bank path to the final: beat NDB Bank by 02 wickets, beat Colombo Dockyard by 03 wickets ; beat Heshan Flexi by 04 wickets, beat DPMC by 04-wickets, thus finished as Group “B” table leaders; in elimination round they beat, Bodyline by 05-wickets (QF), &beat Heshan Flexi by 04-wickets (SF).

DFCC Bank’s top performance were; Roshan Ratnasiri (177 runs), Hasantha Wickramasinghe (10 wickets) and Kavindu Cooray (158 runs).

Incidentally, both Captains, Vikum Costha (Central Finance) and Chamodh Wickramasinghe (DFCC Bank) are Isipathanians.

The Match Referee cum adjudicator is TH Wijewardena.
