Ceylinco Life Sports Festival 2024 sees over 1,000 participants

The presentation of the trophies and certificates to winning team and the best male and female athletes by Ceylinco Life Managing Director/CEO Thushara Ranasinghe 

More than 1,000 employees of Ceylinco Life congregated at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo recently to participate in the annual sports festival of Sri Lanka’s life insurance market leader. The track and field events worked out on the day were closely contested in a spirit of camaraderie and saw the ‘AS’ Group emerge winners and the ‘PK’ Group Runners-up.

The best male athlete for 2024 was R. M. Farzath of the ‘NS/KS’ Group while the best female athlete was G. K. S. Madhuwanthi of the ‘PK’ Group.

The track and field events were preceded by cricket, volleyball and netball tournaments that were conducted over several days in August. The men’s cricket tournament was won by the ‘AS’ group and the women’s tournament by the ‘PK’ Group. The ‘ST’ Group was the winner of the volleyball tournament while the netball tournament was won by ‘PK’ Group.
