Chalitha and Jacob to participate in Bangladesh Amateur Golf 2025

The 38th Orion Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship (BAGC) which is scheduled to tee off from 9 January will go on till 12 January in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka will be represented by veteran amateur golfer, Chalitha Pushpika and 16 year-old, Jacob Norton. 

Pushpika who has worn the national colours on numerous occasions, with extensive experience and skill set have made him a formidable competitor in the amateur circuit, establishing him as a role model for aspiring golfers. 

Joining Pushpika will be 16-year-old Jacob Norton from Stafford International. This marks a significant milestone as Jacob will be representing Sri Lanka for the first time on an international stage. His impressive performances in local tournaments have given him the much needed exposure at International level. 

Building on his competitive performance at the Singha Thai World Junior Championship in November, Jacob Norton has been making a name for himself on the junior and amateur circuits, recording a string of steady performances that highlight his growing potential. In recent tournaments and international tournament qualifiers, he’s consistently placed him in the top ranks drawing keen attention towards his calculated approach and strong fundamentals. 

Pushpika and Norton will be joined by Chanaka Perera another experienced amateur campaigner who will be featuring as an individual segment.
