Chalitha in great form on first two days

Chalitha Pushpika continued his dominance in the SLG Ranking Tournament at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, firing another impressive 3-under-par 68 on Day 2 yesterday.

This remarkable consistency keeps him firmly at the top of the leaderboard with a two-day total of 136, stretching his lead to seven shots over second-placed Jacob Norton.

Norton, who had shared the lead after the opening round, struggled on Day 2 with a score of 75, slipping behind Pushpika but still maintaining second place with a total score of 143.

Meanwhile Reshan Algama showed signs of resurgence, producing some top class golf to climb into third place at 144, just one stroke behind Norton.

R.M.S. Rupasinghe posted a steady round of 72, bringing his total to 145 and placing him in fourth. Meanwhile, Kumar Dhanushan improved on his first-round score, also carding a 72 to secure fifth place with a total of 147.

Day 3 will be worked off today with only the top 15 moving forward for the last 2 days with Pushpika, Algama and Norton in the race for a top spot finish. (SJ)
