Scorchers in the Women’s Big Bash League with an unbeaten 70* off 42 balls (eight fours, two sixes) against Sydney Thunder at the Adelaide Oval yesterday.

Chamari shared an unbroken 135-run partnership with Beth Mooney (83* off 53 balls) for Scorchers to post an imposing total of 184/2, but rain deprived the Scorchers of their third straight win with Thunder 21/1 when the heavens opened up, forcing a no-result.

Chamari is due to return to Sri Lanka today and join the Sri Lanka Women’s team that will leave for Zimbabwe on Monday to take part in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier.
