Chamari sets new world record

Sri Lanka women’s cricket team Captain Chamari Athapaththu set a new world record in international cricket when she became the first ever female cricketer in history to score a hundred in a final of a T20I tournament.

The previous record was held by two Australian women cricketers Meg Lanning (88*) vs England in Tri-Nation, 2018 and Beth Mooney (78*) vs India in T20 World Cup, 2020.
