Champions SSC come out for first time today

• Seven matches down for decision in SLC Major L/O tournament

Defending champions SSC will come out for the first time in the SLC Major Clubs Limited Over tournament when they meet Ace Capital CC at Dombagoda today. On the third day of competition, seven matches are down for decision.

Last year’s semi-finalists Colts also make their first appearance when they travel to the Welagedara Stadium to take on Kurunegala YCC.

Badureliya CC, another semi-finalist, will be keen to continue their winning start when they meet Kandy Customs SC at Surrey Village, Maggona. It is at this venue they bowled out Kurunegala YCC for 41 in their opening match.

CCC, Moors SC and Ragama CC who all began the tournament with a win will be looking forward to continuing that trend. CCC play Police SC at the P Sara Oval, Ragama CC are the guests of Bloomfield at Bloomfield, and Moors SC take on Nugegoda SWC at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa.

Tamil Union who received a severe beating at the hands of NCC two days ago will want to put that defeat behind and start afresh when they meet Negombo CC at BOI grounds, Katunayake. – (ST)
