Sri Lanka Women continued their domination of New Zealand Women in the Under-19 T20I and ODI tri-series with their third win at Brisbane.
Having beaten New Zealand in two out of two matches in the shortest format, Sri Lanka extended that run to the ODI format when they won by 55 runs yesterday.
Chasing Sri Lanka’s total of 159, New Zealand’s batting folded up for 104 to the left-arm spin of Player of the Match Chamudi Praboda who finished with figures of 4/24. She was well supported by the right-arm seam of Limansa Tillakaratne (3/31), daughter of former Sri Lanka Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan.
Wicket-keeper Sumudu Nisansala top scored for Sri Lanka with 34, while Vimoksha Balasooriya and Rashmika Sewwandi contributed 29 apiece.
Sri Lanka lost their first match of the ODI series to Australia by 8 wickets with Rashmika Sewwandi scoring a half-century (56 off 51 balls, 5 fours, 2 sixes) out of Sri Lanka’s total of 180, where Extras contributed 49 (including 30 wides).
