Chanaka returns to top of Sri Lanka Golf ranking tournament

Ranking Tournament of Sri Lanka Golf held at Nuwara Eliya Golf Course from 11-14 October 2022 saw M.U. Chanaka Perera returns at the top with a gross score of 291 over four rounds. 

He pipped Uchitha Ranasinghe by 4 strokes. Priya Hemantha (Golf Coach Anuradhapura) was placed 3rd with a gross score of 296, a single stroke behind Uchitha in a closely fought tussle. 

M.H. Chalitha Pushpika was placed 4th with a gross score of 317, but officially he is the 2nd Runner of this tournament because Priya Hemantha is a Coach and participated on behalf of all Sri Lankan Golf Players. The course was not easy to negotiate and the scores of the top three should be considered fair returns to these golfers. 

Chanaka and Uchitha are warming up to participate in the forthcoming Asia Pacific Golf Tournament in Thailand in November 2022 and should improve if they are to make the cut at this event.
