Channa heads OTRS

Former Trinity College, 1989 rugby Vice Captain and colours man, Channa Pathirana was elected uncontested as the Chairman at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage.

Channa played for Trinity under scrum half, Rohan Ranaraja. They came up to the semifinals in the Premadasa Knockout rugby encounter in 1989 and lost out to the Thomians. Veteran banker and Ryde Gold Medalist Asanka Ranhotty will be the new treasurer of the OTRS.

Meanwhile the 1983 skipper Ashan Ratwatte and national youth second rower Thakshila Hettiarachchi of 1987 and 1988 will be the two Vice Chairmen.

Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage is an organisation affiliated to the Old Boys Association of Trinity College Kandy and manages rugby across all age groups at the school.
