Sri Lanka cricket team head coach Chris Silverwood said that the spectators who packed the stadiums to capacity in the seven white ball matches played so far at the R. Premadasa Stadium and the Pallekele Stadium had inspired the team to perform better on the field.

“To see the Sri Lankan crowd singing and cheering and smiling has been absolutely fantastic. It’s really made a big impact on the players in the dressing room and an impact on all of us. We really enjoyed the support.”

Sri Lanka lost the 3-match T20I series 2-1, but took a winning 3-1 lead in the five-match ODI series.
