Cinnamon Grand emerge victorious at JKH Inter-Company Badminton Championship 2017

The spirited badminton team from Cinnamon Grand became champions in the cup category at the John Keells Group Inter-Company Badminton Championship held at the MBA Courts on 11 November. The hotel competed against seven teams and topped them all to win championship in a final match against SAGT. The tournament saw the conclusion of five games; namely Men’s Doubles Open, Men’s Singles Open, Mixed Doubles Open, Women’s Doubles Open and Men’s Doubles Over-40. The Cinnamon Grand ‘A’ team comprised of Priyanga Dissanayake (captain), J.K.A. Mahendra, Darshana Dissanayake, Rasika Mendis, Shanika Rajakaruna and Dini Isaacs. The Cinnamon Grand ‘B’ team comprised Shanaka Silva (captain), Sisira Katukurunda, Indika Sumanaweera, Dhanuka Prabath, Sudesh Ranasinghe, Madu Samarasinghe and Chalani Ambagahavita
