Clifford Cup Knock out Rugby 2024: CR out for Rugby double as Kandy pulls out

CR and FC under Soyuru Anthony will be out for rugby double as they will be all out to win their second trophy this year when they lock horns in the Clifford Cup Knock Out Rugby 2024 which will commence on 28 February at Longdon Place. CR is the defending champions of the Century plus year old cup.

Kandy Sports Club pulled out of the Clifford Cup Knockout Rugby Tournament 2024 citing their venue request, which was not approved by Sri Lanka Rugby at a Council Meeting, which took place two days ago in Colombo. The Out station club wanted their games to be played at Nittawela in 2024 and showed their willingness to travel to Colombo in 2025 if they were qualified.

Now the Tournament will be worked off among the top 7 teams and all matches to be played in Colombo with the League Champions, CR and FC receiving bye and going direct to their semi final encounter.

29 Feb Havelocks SC vs Sri Lanka Navy SC

1 March CH and FC vs Sri Lanka Army SC
