Colombo Masters CA suffer first defeat, MCA secures first win

Inaugural Sri Lanka Masters T+20 quadrangular 

Colombo Masters CA suffered their first defeat and MCA posted their first win in the ongoing Inaugural Sri Lanka Masters (0 – 50) T+20 quadrangular 2019, continued at the Bloomfield Grounds on Sunday, 17 February. 

In the last batch of matches in the round robin stage, MCA beat State Services CA by 19 runs and Nationalized Services CA beat the Colombo Masters by 07 wickets.

In the match that took in the morning, the match winner for MCA was Sujith Sirimanne, who hit a belligerent 58 in 29 balls, inclusive of 06 sixes and 04 fours and posted the highest team total (154 for 6 in 20).

In the match that took place in the afternoon, the match winner for Nationalized Services was Chamila Mendis, who stroked an impressive 73 not out in 43 balls, inclusive of 02 sixes and 10 fours.

The Final (between 1 and 2) and the play off for the 3rd place (between 3 and 4) will take place on Sunday, 24 February at the MCA Grounds – MCA Vs. State Services in the morning session (9:30 a.m.) and Col. Masters Vs. Nat. Services in the afternoon session (1:30 p.m.).
