Fine batting by Shafeek Raheem (67, not out) and good bowling by Sisila Indraratne (3 for 28) paved the way for Colombo Masters Cricket Association (CMCA) to snatch an eight run win over Nationalised Services Cricket Association (NSCA) in the Final of the fourth edition of the Lanka Masters (Over-50) T+20 Cricket Championships Quadrangular played for the Dr. R.A.H. De Zoysa Challenge Shield, concluded at the Army Grounds, Panagoda recently.
Prior to the main final, the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) won the play-off for the 3rd place with a comfortable 42 runs win over State Services Cricket Association (SSCA)
The qualifying Semi Finals were played on Independence Day at the same venue, where Colombo Masters CA beat MCA by 03 wickets and Nationalised Services CA beat State Services CA by 04 runs.
Special Awards: Shafeek Raheem from CMCA, best batsman; Palitha Liyanage from NSCA, best bowler and Pujitha Gunawardena from CMCA, Man of the Series.
