Colombo beat Kandy by 14 points (1 goal, 1 penalty goal) to 12 points (1 goal, 1 try) to win their annual rugby encounter, which was played at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium yesterday.
At the short breather, Kandy led 12/7.
This encounter was played in order to select the Under-19 national squad for the Taipei tour in December.
