Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana having a closer look at the Commanders Cup

The Sri Lanka Air Force will tee off their very first sporting event on 22 January with the ninth edition of Commander’s Cup 2022, an annual golf tournament for men and women hosted by the Sri Lanka Air Force and Eagles’ Golf Links is scheduled to take place at the picturesque China Bay – Trincomalee.
On 21 January, there will be a practice session for the 110 golfers who have already registered, with 12 women too eyeing for honours. The prize giving will take place on 22 January after the completion of the day of golf.
The Sri Lanka Air Force have already made all the arrangements to host the 23rd ‘Guwan Papedi Sawariya’ (Men’s), Colours night for Sri Lanka Air Force, World Military Beach Ball, Commanders Cup Rugby with CH and FC, and Women’s Rugby Sevens, which will be organised this year.
All these events are headed by the former Rajans and top-class golfer Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.
Dialog Enterprises will prop up in tandem with Sri Lanka Air Force as the sponsor of the Commander’s Cup. Already 78 golfers will tee off for the Commander’s Cup and 35 servicemen will play for honours at the Eagle’s Challenge Trophy which is awarded to the best serving player from the Tri Forces in men’s and women’s segments.
Trinco Blue by Cinnamon has joined the Sri Lanka Air Force as the Hospitality Partner, and along with JKAB Beach Resort will provide accommodation for the golfers.
