Commanders Cup tees off in China Bay

Sri Lanka Air Force and the Eagles’ Golf Links-hosted Commanders Cup 2023 Annual Golf Tournament will tee off on 21 January at 7.00 a.m. at China Bay Trincomalee.

This time a record of 120 entries have been received with 18 ladies to play in the beautiful golf course in the country which could be a very challenging course compared to the others in the country. This could bring out the best in a golf player’s ability. This will be the 10th tournament in tandem with Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana giving the best for sports promotion in the Air Force.

In the 2022 edition Captain Jayalath Perera (Rtd) from Sri Lanka Navy won the Commanders Cup securing the highest marks in the Gents segment while Niloo Jayathilake won the Ladies Trophy. Eagle’s Challenge Trophy presented to members of the Tri-Services (Men’s) was won by Commodore K.M.M.P. Karunathilake from the Sri Lanka Navy.
