Cricketers and netballers get hero’s welcome

The Sri Lanka cricket team and the Sri Lanka netball team were accorded a grand victory parade from the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake to Colombo attended by large crowds of supporters who lined the streets to welcome the heroes and heroines.

The Sri Lanka men’s cricket team won the Asia Cup final beating Pakistan and the Sri Lanka women’s netball team won the Asian Championships, defeating Singapore in the final.
