DFCC, Nawaloka Hospitals, COMBank, LOLC into semi-finals

MCA “C” Division 50 Over League Tournament  

DFCC Bank, Nawaloka Hospitals Commercial Bank “A” and LOLC Holdings advanced to the Semi Finals in the ongoing 3rd National Development Bank sponsored “NDB” Trophy, MCA “C” Division 50 Over League Tournament 2023, continued last weekend 29 and 30 July. 

All four Semi Finalist have now completed their quota of six league matches, with DFCC with five wins and one defeat finished on top of the points table; followed by Nawaloka Hospitals (four wins and two defeats N/R/R –1.43 ) Commercial Bank “A” (with four wins and two defeats, N/R/R  0.60) and LOLC Holdings (with four wins and two defeats N/R/R 0.48); the 2nd , 3rd and 4th places were decided on the superior net run rate.

• At Katunayake: DFCC Bank beat DPGC “A” by 10 wickets. DPGC “A” - 29 (9.1)  (K. Premaratne 3/15, Ravindu Ratnayake 7/12) DFCC Bank - 30/0 (3.1)
• At MCA: LOLC Holdings beat Nawaloka Hospitals by 50 runs. LOLC - 184 (48.2) (T.M. Ratnayake 49, S.S. Fernando 79, Sanka Purna 2/28, P.N. de Silva 2/17, R.T. Kakulawala 2/31) Nawaloka Hospitals - 134 (45.2)  (RT Kakulawala 41, KM Perera 2/27, E. Madusanka 3/22)
