The league stage of the 20th David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored, “DPGC” Challenge Trophy – MCA “E” division 25 – Over League Tournament 2023 was concluded with its last batch of matches played last week-end, 14 and 15 January.
At the completion of 40 half-day matches in the league stage, the top 16 teams from the three groups advanced to the Knock-outs.
Weekends batting and bowling honours went to: Sachith Wickramasinghe from Teejay Lanka (98 in 47 balls, inclusive of 03 sixes and 10 fours vs. SSK Holdings); Joel Peiris from Janashakthi Insurance (5–22-5 vs. John Keells “B”) and Bawantha Jayasinghe from Ceylinco Insurance (88 in 74 balls, inclusive of 03 sixes and 10 fours vs. SSK Holdings).
