The June Monthly Medal hosted by the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC), in collaboration with Daraz Sri Lanka, kicks off this week, scheduled to take place on 24 and 25 June.
Activities on the golf calendar of Sri Lanka’s oldest and premier golf club are back to its glory days after nearly two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the monthly tournament anticipates 2022 to be the year senior masters of the multidivisional sport test the mettle.
Over the years, sports and recreation have played an integral role in the DNA of Southeast Asia’s e-commerce marketplace leader. As a brand committed to creating memorable and personalised experiences, Daraz’s sponsorship for RCGC’s June Monthly Medal evinces its passion to support experiences that resonate well with recreational activities and the elite lifestyle.
Sharing his thoughts on the sponsorship, Daraz Sri Lanka Managing Director Rakhil Fernando noted: “Daraz is excited to partner with Royal Colombo Golf Club to further the interest in this sport and also to provide a networking opportunity for our strategic brand partners, members of the club, and those with a keen interest in the sport. As a sponsor of this event, we are committed to making this event a success. We hope this partnership garners long-term value and a lasting relationship between the two entities.”
The June Monthly Medal is expected to draw some of Sri Lanka’s top golf players, RCGC Members, Daraz Strategic Partners and distinguished invitees to the Royal Colombo Golf Course, including the crème de la crème of Colombo society and golf enthusiasts, opening up a unique avenue for participants to socialise and network.
A total of 18 medals will be awarded across a range of divisions including Seniors, Masters and Ladies along with more exciting golf events and activities with valuable prizes planned for the course of the tournament. The success of the tournament will be followed by a special cocktail exclusively for players, club members and invitees on 26 June at RCGC.
