David Pieris shuttlers crowned Mercantile Champs

David Pieris Group men’s badminton team 

David Pieris Group’s men’s badminton team emerged mercantile badminton champions 2021 in the ‘D Division’ at the recently concluded Mercantile Badminton Tournament. Its veterans’ team secured the fourth place in their category.

On their way to victory, David Pieris Group defeated Amana Bank and Douglas and Sons at the league stages. They beat NDB Bank in the semi-finals before beating Douglas and Sons in the finals as well.

The 37th Mercantile Badminton Tournament was held at the Mercantile Badminton Association – Colombo with the participation of 114 teams.
