Leg spinner Dellon Peiris of S. Thomas’ College continues to dominate the All-Island Schools category, while surpassing the landmark of 20,000 votes, as the Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy/Schoolgirl Cricketer of the Year 2018 competition reaches the end of its 17th week.

While Dellon earned that feat, the leader of the Emerging Schools segment, Denuwan Perera of Carey College, continued his stranglehold for yet another week while reaching the milestone of 10,000 votes.

Maintaining his pace, Dellon received the highest number of combined votes with a tally of 1,798, with his total reaching 20,529 votes. He leads Sachin Silva by 8,024, improving on last week’s margin. Sachin of St. Peter’s College added 1,130 combined votes while accumulating a total of 12,505 votes. Although both top contenders stand far ahead of the rest, Dellon is way ahead of Sachin.

Pabasara Ranabahu of Rathnavali Girls’ School Gampaha took her tally to 4,979 votes after adding 510 combined votes. Harshitha’s lead against Pabasara has improved to 1,265.
